The GLISTEN Budapest 2014 Conference is organized by COST Action CM1207 and hosted by RCNS-HAS on the 2-4th of October, 2014. It is funded by the European Science Foundation through COST.
Parallel with the conference on the 4th of October, the GLISTEN Budapest GPCRDB Satellite Meeting will be hosted. Details about the Meeting can be found on the Programme page.

G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) are the largest family of proteins involved in signal transduction across cell membranes and consequently, the most prominent protein family targeted by current pharmaceuticals. GLISTEN (GPCR-Ligand Interactions, Structures, and Transmembrane Signalling: a European Research Network) is a research network for scientists studying various aspects of GPCR structure and function, with a wide range of theoretical and experimental methods. GLISTEN consists of four working groups, focusing on different aspects of GPCRs:
- Working Group 1: Receptor dynamics
- Working Group 2: Biased signalling
- Working Group 3: GPCR-protein and GPCR-lipid interactions
- Working Group 4: Discovery and design of GPCR ligands
The conference will provide a platform for communicating the most current scientific progress in the mentioned areas, as well as hosting trainings on diverse, but complementary methods in GPCR drug design, focusing on Fragment-based GPCR drug discovery. Contributions of junior scientists (in the form of posters) are also encouraged.
